Karl Marx was my great grandfather-- and I know a lot about him but one thing I am really wondering about is the boats he built. I really think it would be cook to find someone who still has one of his boats. They were built between 1913-1950's, With the WW 1 years void as being a German he could not do anything with water and boats. He built the boats of the "Tunnel of Love" and "Shoot the Shoots" at Riverview and also some gondolas at Villa laVince'??? That the "Rat Pack" had up near Wheeling. The Boat shop was at 2937 Elston Ave. I was only a baby when he died so know only stories and photos. He put a oval brass plate on each boat that said "Karl Marx Boat Builder" I was wondering if anyone has heard of this or know where I could maybe look to find someone with a boat.
