    3. Another success thanks to the free trial of the Immigration lists on Ancestry! It was fantastic to find out that my great aunt had migrated to Chicago! Great to be on the way to solving the mystery of her disappearance! Her name was Jessie Hudleston and she had been a performer on the London stage between 1893 and 1901. In 1896 she married Ebenezer Frederick Alexander in London. She toured South Africa with the D'Oyly Carte Opera Company in 1902-1903, after which she disappeared from the London stage. I found Ebenezer's entry into New York on SS "Baltic" on 19 May 1905, giving his destination as Chicago; his wife Jessie was not listed with him. but Jessie's brother, Robert Hudelston and his wife Clara (who was a sister of Ebenezer) and children Doris and Alexander Hudleston were. Ebenezer's brother, Herbert G B Alexander, had apparently become an American citizen in 1892 and was a resident of Chigao. Does anyone know whether Jessie performed in the theatre in America? Can anyone help with the Alexander and Hudleston families in Chicago? Des Alford NSW AUSTRALIA
