    3. Hello List, How can I find out if there were many (or any?) Methodist Episcopalian churches in Chicago in the 1930-1950 era? And which would have been closest to the addresses below. My great uncle and aunt (both Norwegian) were married by "ME church ritual" in WI, then moved to Chicago by 1930. Their names were Hans(Henry) and Tillie(Mathilda) JOHNSON. In 1930, they lived at 1516 N. Talman Ave in Chicago. In 1954, they resided at 2317 W. North Ave, Chicago. I don't have their addresses for the in-between years. thank you, MeLani

    3. Clues from the Chicago Tribune Archives? The Arnold family lived two blocks from where the Johnsons lived in 1930 and attended the Douglas Park Methodist Episcopal church. 1914-04-26 MRS. JAMES ARNOLD, who for over forty-five years lived in the same residence at 1308 South Talman avenue, died yesterday. She was 63 years old. She was born in London, England. She is survived by Mr. Arnold and four children, one of whom is the wife of Judge John R. Newcomer of the Municipal court, and another, Joseph Arnold, is connected with the city street department. Services will be held in the Douglas Park Methodist Episcopal church at 1 o'clock Tuesday afternoon. Burial at Oakridge. 1918-08-29 Funeral services for James Arnold of 1308 South Talman avenue, who died unexpectedly at Epworth Heights, Mich., Sunday will be held at 2 o'clock this afternoon at the Douglas Park Methodist church.
