I have been told by cousins of mine that relatives were on the cover of 'Life' magazine back when Ellis Island was refurbished. I did find a copy of Life that covered the refurbishing of Ellis Island but my relatives were not on the cover. The issue date of the one I found was 9-1-90. The picture I'm looking for depicted a mother holding her child (1 year old and my aunt) along with her husband and their young son. The year was 1907. Supposedly this same picture hangs somewhere in Ellis Island. Unfortunately none of my cousins kept a copy, wrote down the info, nor do they recall exactly when it was published. I was just curious if anyone recalls such an issue and may have more information on it or where else I may look. I know this is a long shot as none of you would be looking for something this specific but I thought I would take a chance. I have researched the Life magazine cover archives, other magazines in case my cousins were mistaken about it being Life, ebay and other miscellaneous back issue magazine sellers. Thanks. Jim

Jim, Perhaps one more magazine dealer would be worth contacting, Brattle Book Shop in Boston. Have you already tried "Look"? They continued to have a few special issues for years after they quit publishing regularly.
