I do not necessarly know the city addresses but I can tell you there are several cemeteries in 111th St both in Chicago and out. When we were kids and still, call that area around 111th and Kedzie 7 Holy Hills because of all the cemeteries in the area. Mt. Olivet and Mt Hope are across the street from one onother on 111Ths St east of Kedzie Av. -----Original Message----- From: cook-co-il-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:cook-co-il-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Anettka@aol.com Sent: Monday, February 19, 2007 10:15 AM To: IL-COOK-CHICAGO-D-request@rootsweb.com; COOK-CO-IL-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [COOK-CO-IL] Chicago address 1920 My ggaunt was living about 21 St and S. Allport in 1918 timframe, living with one son and near another. When she died, she was at 31st and Well living with same son. What would induce someone to move so far east at that time frame. What was there at that time? Can anyone shed light on this mystery? I suspect it had to do with finances. But have no idea what the conditions might have been in that area. When she died, they took her west and south again to a cemetery near 111th. Any neighborhood history buffs out there?
