I was recently given an address for who I believe is an uncle. The address for the phone directory is 648 W Evergreen, Chicago (Sam Leto). I have been to the Cook County Accessor's site and cannot find any information on this or surrounding addresses. The closest address stated North Chicago. Is there anyone who may be familiar with this area? It would have been a residential neighborhood in 1937. Thanks in advance,

Paula Graves at pgraves235@gmail.com is looking for information (presumably a photo) of 638 West Evergreen Avenue in Chicago and cannot find anything on the Cook County Assessor's website. Paula, The Cook County Assessor's website indicates that the last address in the 600 block of West Evergreen Avenue is 636 West Evergreen Avenue so there is no photo of the 638 West Evergreen Avenue location. If you look at the photo of the 636 West Evergreen property it appears that there is an empty lot to the west of 636. Take a look at this website link for 648 West Evergreen Avenue from Google Maps: www.google.com/maps This weblink will take you to the home page for Google Maps. You will have to enter the address: 648 West Evergreen Avenue, Chicago, Illinois in the search box and click GO. Once you have the map of the area be sure that you click the Hybrid box. The Hybrid box will give you a combination satellite map with street names shown on the satellite map. Keep zooming in on the address to get a closer view of the area. The Google Map shows that there is a building at what would be 648 West Evergreen Avenue. However, the address of the building is probably not an Evergreen Avenue address but an address for the street to the north of the building. My Delorme Street Atlas USA 2006 does not show a street to the north of Evergreen Avenue so I have no idea what the name of that street might be.
