Cookers, I have tried in vain to find death information for my great grandmother, Sarah Scher. In 1910 she was living with her daughter and son-in-law, Etta and Sam Bernstein. She was born about 1855, so I would guess that she died between 1910 and 1940, and I doubt she went back to the "old country", because the entire remaining family (minus her husband, who had probably recently died) came to the U.S. with her. I have tried IRAAD online. I have called the cemetery where other family members are buried. I have searched Ancestry for her? I think I also searched the Trib. for an obit. Her other children were Louis, Julius, Anna Neimark (Jacob), Mary Komer (Joseph), Rose Shapin (Milton), and Celia Simon. All lived in Chicago except Celia, who had gone to California about 1923.
