What great memories I have of that area. Yes. I did mispeak. It was Water School that I attended until third grade then I also went to Queen of Angels where I graduated. The school is on the northwest side of Western and Sunnyside Ave. I lived in the area from 1924 until 1938. I have pictures of myself and family in Wells park when I was a toddler. It is still a lovely park I think. We used to go to Albany Park for picnics. That was great fun! It was a lovely park with a terrific twisting slide. I doubt that we ever ventured further west than that. dorothy
