Elaine In September 2006 the Schaumburg Township District Library was awarded a grant from the Illinois State Library to digitize and place on the library's website a large portion of our local history videos. Our partners with this project were the Facilitators for the Preservation of Schaumburg Area History (FPSAH), Schaumburg Township Historical Society, Hoffman Estates Museum, and the villages of Hoffman Estates and Schaumburg. We are especially indebted to FPSAH for their efforts in seeking out so many of Schaumburg Township's living historians for the interview process. Unfortunately, many of these historians have since passed away but their history lives on through these interviews. We are very pleased with the digitized results and hope you are too.
