This reply is a bit off-topic but I will reply to the list as the original comment was made on the Cook-Co list. It's understandable how you might have arrived at this conclusion but it is not exactly accurate. Wikipedia is both moderated and has posting standards which must be met. I believe each contribution may be reviewed by experts before it is posted. And even then corrections can be edited. Every once in a while an editorial note appears something like: "This submission needs to be cleaned up." or "This is a published Stub. Please add material to it." The latter meaning it is in process. I have found it to be entirely accurate and usually delightfully easy to read and understand. It is usually not heavy in academic mathematics and is readily accessible to most casual readers.
