    1. Re: [COOK-CO-IL] lost years
    2. If they were in Chicago in the time of the fire, that will create a problem for you as records were lost. Don't forget to allow for the horrible spelling and interpretations of those who took the census's, etc. In the years I have been doing this the mutilations of even the simplest names would put some in shock. Once this large blended family landed in New York, I loose them until 1900. I know they were in Chicago, but I've never turned up anything for them. I believe they would have lived in the entry neighborhood of 18th or 19th St. north of Pilsen. My GGPs were Jan Antos 1842 and Anna Janecek Antos 1851. There were four Antos kids; Vaclav 1864, Antonia 1869, Franz 1876, Felix 1877, and the Janeceks; Antonia 1868, Voiteck 1870, Anton 1876, Maria 1877. GGF Jan died in 1916, and GGM Anna died in 1934. I've tried all the databases in Ancestry, including wildcard searches on Antos. Any ideas for tracking them. dolores desideri Looking for: Desideri, Innocenti, Lupori, Lenzi, Priban, Preban, Janecek, and Antos.
