Years ago I requested school records for my grandmother, Myrtle MacDonald and was sent the records for Murel MacDonald, who, by the looks of the classes taken, was a male student. It covers all four years of high school commencing in 1913. The lad took chemistry, physics, 4 years of Latin, mechanical drawing and trig. I hate to toss this in the trash but I have no use for it and it would only confuse anyone looking at my records later. Any suggestions as to what I should do with this? Lois in CA
Hi Lois, I think perhaps a genealogical society might be interested. Perhaps the Chicago Genealogical Society might be interested. The South Suburban Genealogical and Historical Society has a large collection (about 11 thousand books)and perhaps might be interested too. Other societies also might like this record. Perhaps you could post on a MacDonald message board or genealogical list. It would really be nice if a descendant had that record. It would be a shame to trash the record, so I'm glad you are trying to find a home for this information.
