Hello Listers, I'm hoping someone with access to the Trib or Daily News obits can search for this family. Here's what a relative told me. Vaclav (Wenceslaus or James) Sykora, b. 1872 Sec, Bohemia, emigrated on 17 Oct 1905 (I have that passenger list) with his wife & 2 kids: Maria (probably abt same age as Vaclav) Josef or Joseph, b. abt 1900 Sec, Bohemia Maria, b. abt 1902 Sec Bohemia According to the passenger list, they were going to Chicago to the home of his uncle Josef Misek of 1076 Troy St. I cannot find the Sykora family in any census. I'm guessing they probably just never bothered with the census, or perhaps moved on to another state. No other records. I don't have death dates on any of them, either. An obit might tell me if there were other children or what happened to the family. Thanks in advance for any obits you can find. Judy in Alaska
