I just found Frank NIESEN (Father of Frank L (shorty) NIESEN)s  parents they are Frank NIESEN and Eva NIESEN .......not her maiden name I would think.   Just don't have more information than that. So THESE are probably in Germany, and i don't think there would be any way of tracing them to any particular city. In fact St John was named for John  HACK But I digress.  I was trying to find obituaries of the siblings of Frank L NIESEN from Chicago if they are anywhere to be found. They lived in Cook County, Chicago, IL when Frank L moved to LaPorte, Indiana to have his family with Lizzie and then they later moved to South Bend, St Joseph County, Indiana where my dad and his siblings were all born. Thank you kindly for helping me research some stuck roots. I absolutely appreciate the kind efforts of so many of you.     3. I believe the NIESEN family were in LaPOrte, Indiana when grandma was but 3 years of age. So I guess she wouldn't be located in the census so I could be sure which NIESEN family was mine in Chicago.   I will still have to locate who  Frank L NIESEN's siblings were.     3. By the way, I was taking this one census record stating that Franks' father, Frank NIESEN was a vinegar manufacturer, was my family. But I never KNEW my grandma's grandparents, so I really dont' know if he made vinegar or not.
