    1. [COOK-CO-IL] Michael Goldstein family of Chicago, IL from 1870 census onward
    2. Lilly Martin
    3. Hello, This is my report. Michael Goldstein began his life in USA in New York City. I believe he was sewing US Army uniforms during the Civil War there (1861-1865). This is were he met another immigrant , also sewing uniforms, named Abraham Kallen. Abraham married Michael's sister Flora Goldstein in New York City. Both families moved to Chicago, IL prior to 1870 and settled permanently there. Both Michael Goldstein and his sister Flora Kallen named their first sons Meyer in honor of their father. Anyone interested in this family? Please contact me. I have alot more info but I wanted to be brief to begin with. Best regards, Lilly Martin Descendants of Meyer Goldstein Generation No. 1 1.
