    3. I think you might find the Wilmette FHC the one you really want to visit. All Chicago death cert are available there plus all Chicago church (catholic) records. Then you would be only about 30 mins away from St. Adalberts. 1. [COOK-CO-IL] Visit to Chicago

    3. Keep in mind, Linda, that the hours for the Wilmette Family History Library are as follows:   Tuesday & Thursday:  10AM to 3PM  and 6:30PM to 9:30PM Saturday:  9AM to 1PM   They operate on reduced hours for month of August, and it might be a good idea to check the LDS website to see about other dates they may not be open.    Because Wilmette's hours have changed in the past year, verify the current hours if you plan to visit.  They used to have Wednesday hours the same as Tuesday & Thursday.  Then they cut back to only evening hours and later eliminated Wednesday altogether...a bummer for me since I have Wednesdays off.   Also, the Chicago death certificate collection there is 1878 through1947.  Since 1878 through 1922 are now online, the collection still provides death certificates for the following 25 years.   The Catholic church records are phenomenal.   Ruth --- On Tue, 5/18/10, arleen gould <[email protected]> wrote: From: arleen gould <[email protected]> Subject: Re: [COOK-CO-IL] Visit to Chicago To: "Linda Kush" <[email protected]> Cc: [email protected] Date: Tuesday, May 18, 2010, 7:39 AM I think you might find the Wilmette FHC the one you really want to visit.
