Thanks Masugu.  I'd seen all the obits, but found no clues about Henrietta.   Also searched variations of the surname VARNODO (as listed in her mother's obit), including VARNODOE, VARNADO, VARNADOE, VORNODO, VORNODOE, VORNADO AND VORNADOE.   I phoned both Resurrection Cemetery, where Anna Borski is buried, and St. Mary Cemetery in Evergreen Park, where her husband August Borski is buried, as well as Pomierski Funeral Home, who handled her arrangements.  This funeral home, by the way, appears to still be family run and boy can you tell!  No brush off and a great desire to be helpful.  They pulled their records and got back to me in less than a half hour.   I have inquired about a baptismal record (about 1920) from St. Mary of Perpetual Help, where August and Anna married, but they require a form to be completed and submitted together with a $10 non-refundable fee for the look-up.  Since August and Anna's 1911 marriage did not produce children until about 1920, when Henrietta came along, I'm wondering if she might have been adopted.  Searched six ways from Sunday on the LDS Birth Cert Index without success.   This afternoon, I drafted and will mail a letter to Anna's nephew.  When Anna died, her sister, Marie Ryband, made the funeral arrangements.  Marie had one child, a son Robert, who is still living in Bridgeport, where the family settled a century ago, so perhaps he can be helpful.   Thanks everyone for your input.   Ruth --- On Tue, 5/18/10, Masugu <[email protected]> wrote: From: Masugu <[email protected]> Subject: Re: [COOK-CO-IL] Henrietta (Borski) Naselli Varnodo - CORRECTED To: [email protected] Date: Tuesday, May 18, 2010, 2:23 PM Hey Ruth; I tried hard to find anything in the obits on Henrietta w/ no joy.  Perhaps the following obits will provide you w/ some leads.
