If I haven't mentioned this before, let me do so now.   My Mom appears in the Cook County Birth Register, but the Birth Register Index on the LDS pilot site shows the wrong set of parents for her.   When I opened the Register image and looked closer, it became apparent that nearly every entry on the page had the same error.  I'm assuming, and it appears, that when the transcriber crossed from the left page (containing the child's name) to the right page (containing the parents' names), he/she shifted down an entry.   I contacted FamilySearch, but was told there is no way this error can be corrected.  As much as it bothers me each time I see my Mom's entry, I would not mention it if it were an isolated case.  However, I have since found two other separate instances on the Birth Register Index where the same thing occurred.   Keep this in mind when you're looking for your family, because, while the child's birth name may appear correct, don't be put off if the parents' names are different than you know or expect they should be.  Open the actual image and check it out.   Ruth
