    3. SSDI includes people who died, and whose deaths were reported to the Social Security Administration, so presumably his death will show up there after he dies, but only if it is reported to them. Illinois has executed 12 people since 1962. They are listed here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_individuals_executed_in_Illinois If your person is listed, then check the the ssdi to see if he is there. One person died of natural causes while on death row - Donald Bull in 2002 No one has been executed since 2003 when the outgoing governor commuted all the death penalty sentences to life in prison. Since then people have received death penalty sentences, but their dates for execution have not come up yet. There are a lot of websites about death row inmates in Illinois. Here is one of them - http://www.ccadp.org/illinois.htm If your person is on death row still, you should be able to find information just by searching google.com The death penalty is a big political issue everywhere with lots of people on both sides of it, so you should be able to find something on your inmate if he/she is currently on death row. Certainly, if your person is ever executed, or if his execution date comes up there will be articles in the newspapers.
