Was William a baker living (or maybe working) 749 W Madison? The 1893 Chicago directory has the only William there. That is also the address of "a" William born Germany in Chicago Voter Registration, 1890 14-19-19 (years in city, state, country) naturalized 1872 Superior Court of Cook Co., I don't get any William in the 1899 in 1898 there are two but they don't match the guy from 1893.
