Hi All; Going over my family history in Chicago, I can easily see the transition from marrying w/in one's ethnic (sometimes limited to people from the same village in the old country) and religious group, to marrying outside. My mom's family seems to have gone from Catholic to Protestant to Catholic every generation or so. This transition was assisted--as has already been mentioned--by divorces, since the Vatican was death on wheels when it came to divorce. Cheers, Masugu [email protected]
