That is a good idea. I've looked there before and just looked there again, but I've found my grandmother is not there either although one of her two brothers is there who was born in 1904. Are there any years where birth records and registers don't exist any more? Mary Snow wrote: > Did you check the familysearch pilot site for birth? It may not be > indexed yet. It took a while to find my granmothers birth record but finally realized that it was under her mothers name, it may have been that she was not named at the time of the certificate. Also could not find my fathers birth certificate-did not need to be recorded at that time-but was in the church records. He was in the Navy and had to show some type of record, so not sure at this point what he used. I have searched for years without any luck. Once in while still go back to the sites to check if they had been updated. No luck. Still cannot find his SS number or SS that my mother received after he died in 1961, when he was 48. Keep checking back to the sites, Irene in Wisconsin searching Chicago ----- Original Message ----- From: "Marge Yetzke" <[email protected]> To: "Michele" <[email protected]> Cc: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, July 19, 2010 9:24 PM Subject: Re: [COOK-CO-IL] Missing Birth Record >I have the same problem finding my mother's birth in 1905 Cook County?
