Gail, That loophole was closed a number of years ago. You will have to find a local public library that subscribes to the Historical Tribune Archives and probably use an in-house computer to access the database. There are some public library systems that do allow their patrons to access the Historical Tribune Archives from at home but you need a library card from the library system in order to use your home computer. The Chicago Public Library does allow you to access the Historical Tribune Archives from home but you have to enter your Chicago Public Library card number before you can access the database.
