Two of the best resources for Chicago Genealogy that are free are the Vital Records Search at the Cook County Clerk's website, and also the FamilySearch.org site has Chicago births, marriages and deaths for free! http://cookcountygenealogy.com The records from above cost, but the index itself is helpful, and often the records from above, you can find at familysearch. They have lots of Illinois databases, the births are at the next 2 urls https://www.familysearch.org/search/collection/show#uri=http://hr-search-api:8080/searchapi/search/collection/1462519 https://www.familysearch.org/search/collection/show#uri=http://hr-search-api:8080/searchapi/search/collection/1463129 Cook County Death to 1922 https://www.familysearch.org/search/collection/show#uri=http://hr-search-api:8080/searchapi/search/collection/1463134 Illinois Deaths 1916-1947 https://www.familysearch.org/search/collection/show#uri=http://hr-search-api:8080/searchapi/search/collection/1438856 The Family Search Illinois marriages seem to only go to about 1920 as far as I know. If the above URLs break, you can try on my births page listed further below, or through the main Family Search Menu for North America at https://www.familysearch.org/s/collection/list#page=1®ion=NORTH_AMERICA I have the links for all the free Illinois birth and baptism databases I have been able to find, on the following page, click on United States A-Z on left menu and then on Illinois http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~thecohens/birthindexes-usa.html Oh dear, now I see your family came in 1923, the above may still help find records for the spouses of the daughter if he was born in Cook. The index for the 1930 census at Fold3.com is free, images cost. http://www.footnote.com/documents/60505077/census_us_federal1930/ This looks like them? ...
