I just saw this reply too. Part of the confusion is the name of the church, which probably has changed since 1957. The family was German, so perhaps I need to find where to write for records of both the Evangelical Church & the Evangelical Reformed Church in Chicago. Unfortunately, I don't have more exact information. Thanks for the reply & help.
