Dear Cook Listers, Would any listers be able to find obituaries for the following: James Michael McKinley died 7 Feb 1939 and his wife, Margaret (nee McShane) McKinley died 1964 (not sure of the date). Both from Ireland with children (Alice & Mary) in 1912. I am not sure where this Catholic family is buried. Their children: Alice (b.ca 1904), Mary (b.ca 1913), Betty or Rett (b.ca.1915), James (b.ca. 1917), and Hugh Francis (b. 10 Aug 1919). Haven't found the family in 1930, in Chicago 32 ward in 1920. Thank you, Mike McDermott, San Jose, CA

Records from closed churches are held by the archdiocesian arcgvies. Sine St. John Cantius is still open, I suggest you write them....or visit them...to ask for the records you are interested in. Their remains may have been moved. My father in law's grandfather is in Calvary. He died in Feb 1897 and was buried there and then they moved him to another grave in Sept 1897. If there are close family members to these children buried in other cemeteries, I would check there. They may have been moved to that cemetery. Contact the Air Force Historical Research Agency. http://www.afhra.af.mil/Each group had someone who kept a daily log. I was able to buy a microfilm of my dad's bomb group in WWII from them for $30. They also have information on Army. I bought another microfilm that had my father in law's Army unit from WWII. The Air Force one was much better. If there is anything to be had, they will be able to help you.
