By the way, I was taking this one census record stating that Franks' father, Frank NIESEN was a vinegar manufacturer, was my family. But I never KNEW my grandma's grandparents, so I really dont' know if he made vinegar or not. I believe the NIESEN family were in LaPOrte, Indiana when grandma was but 3 years of age. So I guess she wouldn't be located in the census so I could be sure which NIESEN family was mine in Chicago. I will still have to locate who Frank L NIESEN's siblings were. Dear Listers, Some years ago, a paid researcher found three baptism records for family members. I was given the information that the baptisms occurred at St. Mary of Angels. However, on the PGSA database, the three are listed as being baptized at Holy Trinity. The three with baptism dates are the children of Edward Reichel, Edward (Aug. 16. 1895), Michalina Jadwiga (Nov. 21, 1896), and Bronislaw Adalbert (Aug. 16, 1895). Is it possible that the Holy Trinity data was transmitted to Holy Trinity after the fact? It makes more sense that Holy Trinity was the correct parish since Edward Reichel was active in the PNA. I would appreciate it if someone doing their own research could check the data as I am writing that particular chapter of my history book. I know Chicagoland researchers have ready access to church records but I do not. Thanks, Daryl Ann

Would anybody know if there are any NIESEN families obituaries in Chicago? that's where grandma Dvorak came from before she moved to South Bend Indiana to get married to my grandpa William J Dvorak. I was wondering if there were any like old old obituaries from the possibly 1850s to maybe 1950s or something. I believe that great grandpa, Frank (Shorty) Louis NIESEN was born in the 1860s.....i know he died in South Bend along with Lizzie Bach his wife, but Frank had some brothers and sisters in Chicago at the time.
