James' s certification of Death states mother as Almira Cook but no father. Other members searching this line believe the father to be Nathan Cook found on the 1840 census of Norwich Chenango Co., NY pg 40. Is he their father??? On a death cert for James the name Almira or Almyra Cook is listed as his mother. Where did William disappear to, after his birth was listed in the family bible he disappeared????? Why does Hiram carry the surnames of COOK and FISH??? Was he born after the death of his father and adopted or assume the last name of his mothers new husband???? Boy I can't wait to find this skeleton closet <G>.
