Arthur Rushing Cook, was born in S.C. AB. 1814or15, they lived in Montgomery Co Ala. most of their lives. he died in Hernando Co. Fl. in 1880 Arthur R. Cook 1st married Clarissa Amerson she was born in Ga. abt 1815-16 Her father was Eli Amerson b.1790 in N.C. Arthur R Cook's Father is thought to have been named William. And was reported to be from Va. He moved to Montgomery Ala in 1820 he was in Natches Mississippi for two years, two sons were born in mississippi he had trouble there and moved back to Montgomery Co Ala.in 1822 William Cook's children were, Ann Cook b 1811 S.C. ARTHUR RUSHING COOK, b 1815 S.C., William R.COOK b 1820 Ms. Green M Cook b 1822 Ms. Lucinda Cook b abt 1830 Elizabeth Cook. b. abt 1826 Ala. Rebecca Cook b before 1830 We are descended from Arthur R Cook's Son Matthew Malicah Cook b1844 Ala. his son Henry Rushing Cook b 1869 Covington Co. Ala. most of his Descendants are in Okaloosa Co. Fla There are three William Cooks in Montgomery Co.Ala in the 1820's I hope someone recognizes this family, possibly in Va. We would like to find William Cook's family. Thanks Nathan
