I'm trying to definitely establish the parents of Nathan Cook, b. abt 1765 Brunswick Co, VA; d. abt 1840, Hancock Co, GA. Our family tradition has him as the son of Drury Cook. However, some researchers have identified only two children of Drury, and neither of them Nathan. Drury had a brother, John Cook, b.1738, Brunswick Co, VA, d. 1799 Hancock Co, GA. John named one son Nathaniel Pearson Cook, the middle name his wife's maiden name. I'm beginning to think that maybe Nathan and Nathaniel are one and the same, and the son of John Cook.
