My great grandmother was Avis Malvina COOK of upstate NY (b.8-4-1864 d.1-24-1954). Her parents were Oscar COOKE (b. Sept 1837 Browne Co. NY d. 1912 in Oswego Co., NY) and Mary MARKS (b. 3-9-1842 in Browne Co, NY, d. 1916). Oscar's parents were Welcome COOKE (b. 1816 in Glouchester RI, d. 11-6-1887 in Center Lisle NY) and Eliza Anne GREENE. Welcome's father was George COOKE (b. in RI d. 4-27-1842 "at 62 years"). Does anyone have more information about George COOKE's ancestors. It was said they were Mayflower descendants. Thanks. Linda Goodwin
