My Cook line is: Descendants of John Cook - Jasper Co., IL > Marion Co., IL Generation No. 1 1. JOHN COOK was born 1850, and died 1936. He married VOLENA CAROLINE FEAR, daughter of BENJAMIN FEAR and ANNA (PING?). Notes for JOHN COOK: I have John and Volena's marriage as being recorded on page 89 of Volume E in Jasper county, Illinois. I don't see the information from it in my notes so I'm not sure that Volume E is on the LDS microfilmed records I checked. There are lots of Fears in Jasper county records. Volume E is late enough to have the parents names and birthplaces listed but I must not have read it or it's not available because I transcribed all Cook information from the Jasper county records. I have John's middle initial as N. from the marriage records, but I have it as H. on the birth records. There is a birth record for a male Cook, child number l, born April 3, 1902 in Hunt City township, to John H. Cook and Volena C. Fear. John is listed as being 18 and born in Jasper county, and Volena is 21 and born in Jasper county. The doctor was H. A. Eidson, M.D. There is another birth for a female Cook, on August 2, 1903 in Hunt City Township, to John H. Cook and Volena C. Fear. John is 19 and born in Illinois, and Volena is 22 and born in Illinois. The doctor is H. A. Eidson. Children of JOHN COOK and VOLENA FEAR are: 2. i. ANNABELLE COOK, b. 1903, unknown; d. March 15, 1934, Marion Co., IL. ii. PEARL COOK. iii. GILBERT COOK. Generation No. 2 2. ANNABELLE COOK (JOHN) was born 1903 in unknown, and died March 15, 1934 in Marion Co., IL. She married ELMER LLOYD EDDINGS in unknown, son of WESLEY EDDINGS and MARY BELL. Notes for ANNABELLE COOK: Annabelle may have siblings: Pearl & Gilbert. Died as the result of gall bladder complications. As a child had scarlet fever which can effect the heart. When the gall bladder complications arose, her physician gave morphine for pain. It evidently created significant heart problems and eventual death. More About ELMER LLOYD EDDINGS: Died, May 5, 1972, Iuka Cem (Marion) IL Farmer Good Luck To All: Mark oldillini@aol.com
