Edgar H. Cook was born in (?) KY. abt. 1837 and then migrated to TX. where he served in the Confederacy before marrying Mary Ellen Witt in 1863. His children were born in Whitesboro (Grayson Co., TX.) Richard E. 1864 Mary E. b. 1865 Helen H. b. 1869 and then William E. 1874 and James Wilkens b. 1879 someplace in TX. Richard m. Jennie A.
