I'm a new subscriber to this discussion list and I'm just about as new to this geneology stuff. I didn't even know the interest was in me until my daughter needed to trace her ancestors as a school project. Now I can't seem to put it aside. My father, Percy Charles COOKE died when I was young (January, 1964). It is his ancestry that I'm particularly interested in. He was born on Feb 17, 1917 in Gananoque, (Leeds County), Ontario, CA. His father was Allen COOKE, mother was Eliza WILSON. Percy COOKE moved to the states in 1952 (Rochester, New York). He married June Mary OSWOLD in February, 1956. I (Paul Lewis COOKE) was born on October 4, 1957. This is all I have and don't know where to go next (without traveling to Canada). Any help would be appreciated.
