He married Margaret TWEEDLE on 30 Dec 1881. She was born 17 October 1859 in Scotland. They had the following children: Elizabeth Emery Wells Tweedle Cook, born 1882 John Cook, born 1890 William Cook born 1895 William worked for a time as a blacksmith in Paraguay, then he and Margaret moved to Southern Colorado.
