I am searching for any information on Captain Stephen Edwards and his wife Sarah Cooke. Captain Edwards was a naval officer whose ancestors emigraged from England. Sarah's ancestors were French. Her fathers name was Abram Cooke. Stephen and Sarah (COOKE) Edwards daughter Amy Caroline Edwards was born in Halifax County, Virginia on Jan 14, 1819 and died in Kentucky May 29, 1870. She was married to Isaac Medley also of Halifax County, Virginia. Isaac was born Oct 7, 1805 and died Kentucky May 27, 1879, the son of Isaac Medley and Nancy Cooke. I do not know if Nancy and Sarah are related. If anyone out there could provide any information on the EDWARDS/COOKE connection I would be grateful. Thanks in advance Ralph Allison
