This will get you tons of GOOD Missouri Civil War links. For unit info scroll down to the MOLLUS link. Has regimental and unit info on all that served in Mo. http://www.usmo.com/~momollus/INDEX.HTM For Confederates try the Sterling Price Camp link in St. Louis. http://www.geocities.com/~sterlingprice/ Sons of Confederate Veterans http://www.missouri-scv.org/ My understanding is that the Home Guard were Confederate outfits. Contact the Missouri Secretary of State Office, (don't know this one right off the bat but its something like www.mo.sos.gov ) to download a geneological request form. They will look for the records and tell you where, how to obtain. They search at NO CHARGE. Contact the National Archives at www.nara.gov and request Form 80 via email ( up to 6 forms ). Fill that out and return it. They will search, again at NO CHARGE and tell you if records exist. Where to right for them and cost. When emailing to request Form 80 be sure to put FORMS in your subject line or the abyss known as your government will suck that request into the Quagmire of BS and Red Tape. --------------097E93410C4876BA689037E5--
