I am looking for the family of Richard Donaldson COOKE (b.1749) who married Priscilla _____? in 1768. I know the family lived in and around Franklin County, NC and may have come from VA. Richard and Priscilla had a son (and perhaps other children, but I have no knowledge), Richard, who married Mary BLACKNALL. In the early 1800's they had a son (and perhaps other children), Thomas Blacknall Cooke who married Virginia FOSTER and they produced 7 children: Lutie, Virginia, Mary Elizabeth, Eugene, Walter, Augustus and Richard Peter Cook (my g-grandfather) who married Margaret Mary (or Mary Margaret) HAYES in 1875. They had 5 children, 3 of whom died of influenza while young. The other 2 were girls, Mary Keeble and Elba Lura (my grandmother) who married James Claude TUCKER, who himself was one of 7 children of John Buxton TUCKER, of Franklin or perhaps Granville County, NC.
