I keep hoping that someone has a COOK family who came from Germany, perhaps Bavaria and immigrated to Pittsburgh, PA between 1845-1859. My Charles Alexander Cook was b 1864 in Allegheny Co, PA, probably the industrial villages of Tarentum or Natrona in the Allegheny Valley. His father (I think) was George COOK b 1832 Bavaria, Germany who is on the 1880 census of Natrona with a wife, Barbra KALLENBACH (second wife). Siblings are Annie (ROBERST) and Carrie (APPLEBY, and perhaps a GEORGE COOK b 1860 PA and an Amelia. Wish I could ring some bells or get some tips for finding these elusive COOKs.
