Rose's parents: John Ira COOK b. 10 Aug. 1863 Marion County, MS d. 9 Oct. 1938 Purvis, MS married 10 Dec. 1890 Purvis, MS. to Leona Jeroline (CURRIE) McNAIR b. 23 Dec. 1867 MS d. 18 March 1936 Purvis, MS (Her father was originally a CURRIE, but changed his name to McNAIR. They had 8 children. John's parents: William James COOK b. about 1810 Bullock County, Georgia d. Purvis, MS (He came from Marion County where he was living to Purvis to visit family and died) married about 1839 Marion County, MS to Sarah TEMPLE b. about 1822 Georgia They had 8 children.
