after seeing a request on the KYJacksonPurchase list - I looked up the Roach name and Hamby name on the 1850 Henry Co, TN cenus. Another researcher is looking at the Roach / Hamby connection. I have been looking for more informaiton about my Cook - Roach connection .. Here's what I found: the 1850 Henry Co, TN only has one Roach!! Cook, Emeretta 43 f, VA Hamby Judith, 72, VA McCall, John R., 46 Preacher of District, KY America, 21, TN Isaac L, 6, TN Cook Margaretta, 3, TN McCall, John D., 3, TN Emeretta, 1, TN (remember my Jefferson Davis Cook married Mary Emma Roach and Lee Cate has a Hamby - Roach connection). Does anyone know about this family? Pat
