Before long you will know everyone and feel comfortable. We are a unique group of people. We cry together and we laugh together, as we are truly one big happy family. The best part about us is the way we help each other. If you are new to the Internet, or new to genealogy, please do ask questions. Someone in this group has an answer to help you. We are all eager to see who your Cook's were so when you are ready, do post them. I have been working with some of our members on the State Project this week. We adopted the state of Oklahoma! We are putting our heads together to come up with an excellent page for members who are searching in this State for Cooks. The possibilities are limitless as to what we can do to make it easier to search for lost Cook's. We aren't ready yet to show the page off as we are in the beginning stages of putting it all together. I chose the state of Oklahoma because this is the State I live in and my Cook's came here in 1915. I am amazed at the information I have found that I didn't know existed! Our list has the reputation of being a sharing group and more and more I see why. :) If you have time on your hands and want to do something to help others, this is the place to start. You can help others and at the same time help yourself find family. This is an easy project that anyone can do no matter what age you are or how much you know about genealogy. In fact this would be an excellent way for beginners to find out just what is available in the state they are working in. This is a fun project and it will give you an opportunity to express yourself in your God given talents you didn't know you had :) Maybe you haven't been given the chance in life to see just what you can do.
