Before long you will know everyone and feel comfortable. We are a unique group of people. We cry together and we laugh together, as we are truly one big happy family. The best part about us is the way we help each other. If you are new to the Internet, or new to genealogy, please do ask questions. Someone in this group has an answer to help you. We are all eager to see who your Cook's were so when you are ready, do post them. Please put your names and STATE in the subject line. You want everyone to know what's inside. We have many members that won't open an e-mail if it doesn't say where the Cook's were from. I can't say thank you enough to all the members that are helping to get the records posted on our list. The members who have taken a state are hard at work for all of us! If you go to any of the states please give them a pat on the back. A lot of them hold down a full time job yet they make the time to make our day! I'm still going to continue to ask you to please consider taking the state you want to work in. And I hope you will offer to help do look ups in the states that are already up and running. Most of us have books that aren't being used that are sitting in boxes so how about sharing today! It's spring time and if you go to the cemeteries, please keep an eye out for Cook tombstones. Post them here or send them to me and I will post them. This would really be nice of you...Some of our lost Cook's could be buried in any state so getting the records out will be a good way of finding them. You may think you don't have enough names to bother with, but every Cook name is important!! I've looked for 32 years for my Adam Cook's grave and I will never give up until I find it! If you can't get out, go to the usgenweb site and look around in all the different states for Cook's. http://usgenweb.com This would be a big help to our Cook list so let's get excited and follow thru on this.
