James Harris DANVILLE, Va. — James Elwood Harris, 60, of 714 Holland Road, died Monday, Dec. 31, 2001, at Danville Regional Medical Center. Born Aug. 11, 1941, he was the son of Annie Lucille Cook Harris, who survives, and James A. Harris. He lived most of his life in Florida and Pelham, N.C. He worked for James E. Strates prior to his retirement. Survivors include two sons, James Eric Harris, and Joseph Vincent Harris, both of Danville; one daughter, Denise Diane Harris of Williamsburg; and two grandchildren. The family observed a private memorial service.
