They are listed in the 1880 census of RUSSELL COUNTY KY. It has taken me several years to find a piece of my brickwall and I just learned today that PATSY COOK and CHARLES BURTON are my GGrandparents They were my Grandmother's, MARY ELISABETH BURTON, Grandparents . They raised her because both of her parents were said to have died when she was very young. I am trying to find her mother LOUISA that was mentioned on a hand written note in 1898 . The note was signed by CHARLES W BURTON and it was written to verify her age to marry. LOUISA was mentioned in the note as being her mother but they gave no given name for her father. One of the witness on the note was W.D. COOK. I would appreciate any information or help! Thank You!
