Mine moved from NC in the late 1790s to KY and then to Wayne Co., TN. He was of German descent. Were any of these counties known for German Colonies? Now is have: Duplin, Franklin, Orange, Pasquotank, and Stokes County. Can anyone else eliminate any of these?
