Hi all, I have just joined the list. I am interested in the Cook's from Berkshire England. My G.G.grandfather Thomas Cook born C 1835, his parents are William and Elizabeth. Thomas emigated to South Australia in the mid 1800's. I have no hard evidence which will enable me to locate them, including no dates of birth. I have found on the 1851 census of Berkshire the following. Elizabeth 52 Charles 13 Elizabeth 10 James 6 Thomas 16 William 52 These dates seem to match what little I know of my family. I have also located a Thomas Cook christend 10/1/1836 Compton Berkshire, and Thomas Cook christened 18/1/1835 Compton near Newbury Berkshire.
