I know it's purple and silver from England. But I would like to see what it actually looks like. I found a few sites, but they don't show it, you have to order something and wait till you get it. I appreciate it. Tandi A: It is a common misconception that there is a family coat of arms in Western European heraldry. There is no such thing as "the Cook coat of arms." I am aware of at least twelve different arms granted to twelve different Cooks. Arms are granted to a particular individual. Only that individual and his/her heirs may legitimately use those arms. To do otherwise may subject you to liability in some countries (mine are trademarked) and will cause those who are knowledgeable to pass knowing smiles. If you wish to have arms, in the US you may assume arms; make up your own. The American College of Heraldry, a private group, can assist. If you can show ancestry to England or Scotland, you can obtain a grant from those jurisdictions. CAPT G.A. Cook of Kingerly Attorney (US) Solicitor (England & Wales)
