I Know you all hate Virus updates, however this time I have had several messages bounce back to the Admin mail boxes with a Virus attached. So this means that members of Rootsweb Mailing lists have the virus. From what I can find it seems the virus is a worm that attacks Microsoft Outlook users. The two I've so far seen didn't have any subject just Re: and had a attachment ending in .pif. Both that I've seen had different files names such as txt.pif and images.DOC.pif What the worm does if your affected with it is to automatically sends emails out to everyone in your mail box with an attachment of it's self. If you receive any email with no subject and has an attachment DO NOT open it. Thanks, Lisa Martin List Owner
Please check out this site: http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/[email protected] If you have Norton Anti-Virus and it's current, you should be notified when the email virus reaches your inbox so you won't even have the chance to open it.
