Hello All, My name is Jackie Blackman and I am new to this list. My COOK ancestors came from Burford in Oxford and I am keen to find out more about them. My gg Grandfather was James COOK who was baptised in 1852. He was married to Sarah SMITH in 1887. His father was also James COOK and was born in 1819, he married Mary Ann STRINGER in 1844. His father was Thomas COOK (bap 1785) who was married to Letitia ROGERS. Thomas' father was George COOK. Rather than list all of George's ancestors, I will just say that the first COOK from Burford in my tree is Robert COOK, bap 1660. Robert's father is John COOK, but I have no information about him at all. If you have any connections to this family I would be very pleased to hear from you. Best regards Jackie
